We are delighted to invite you to the second round of the JUSTICE members-only webinar series titled ‘Career Conversations’. Over the course of this series you will have the opportunity to hear from a range of excellent speakers from the JUSTICE membership, sharing their various paths into and through the law.
On Thursday 17 September we welcome Dame Maura McGowan DBE as our speaker.
Maura McGowan is a High Court Judge. She sits in the Queen’s Bench Division and was a Presiding Judge on the South Eastern Circuit. Maura was Chair of the Bar Council of England and Wales in 2013. She was named Lawyer of the Year by Legal Business in 2014 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Chambers UK in 2016. She is involved in judicial and advocacy training in the UK and abroad. She is on the board of the Criminal Law Review and a judicial editor of Archbold. Maura previously served on the JUSTICE Council.
