Stuart Coleman

Bonavero Institute of Human Rights Summer Fellow

Stuart is this year’s Bonavero Institute of Human Rights Summer Fellow. Over the past nine months, he has completed the BCL programme at the University Oxford. At Oxford, he has produced research on disability rights in Latin America for Oxford Pro Bono Publico, wrote on right to die legislation for the Oxford Human Rights Hub, and volunteered for the grassroots community support organisation Oxford Mutual Aid.

Stuart completed his LLB and Legal Diploma at Edinburgh University. While there, he was a founding member of the Edinburgh University Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Society, a student advisor at the Edinburgh University Free Legal Advice Centre, and a volunteer at his local branch of Victim Support Scotland.

His main interests are criminal law, human rights, and the law of armed conflict.
