Senior Fellow
Vidya joined JUSTICE as a Senior Fellow in October 2024, to work on our project on ´Securing access to justice: reviewing the Windrush compensation, EU Settlement Scheme, and Afghan Resettlement Schemes´.
Alongside her role at JUSTICE, Vidya works on various projects around migrant justice. She is completing a doctorate at the University of Oxford, where she researches migrant women´s transnational journeys following domestic abuse. She is also a researcher on the Paul Hamlyn Foundation´s ´Collaborative Inquiry into Lived Experience in the UK Migration Sector´.
She has a MSc in Migration Studies from Oxford, and a BA/LLB from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.
Vidya has previously worked with Equal Rights Beyond Borders and Southall Black Sisters, and has voluntary experience with Refugee Legal Support, Refugee Women´s Centre Dunkirk, and Sydney´s Refugee Advice and Casework Service.
