We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming JUSTICE Scotland event, Rights, Justice and the Rule of Law in Scotland, taking place on Monday 16th March in the historic heart of legal Edinburgh.
This special day will bring together practitioners, policy-makers, and those with lived experience to explore the practical impact of human rights and the rule of law in Scotland.
The event will feature two sessions, and attendees are warmly welcome to join us for either or both.
Session 1: Examining the European Convention of Human Rights
Taking place in the McKenzie Building within the Faculty of Advocates, registration for this afternoon session will take place at 2pm, with the panel discussion commencing at 2.30pm. This conversation will focus on the real-world impact of human rights protections, including perspectives from speakers with experience of using rights to help in Scotland.
The session will conclude with a drinks and networking reception, finishing at 5.00pm.
Session 2: The JUSTICE Scotland Lecture
This year's JUSTICE Scotland lecture, will be held at the historic Signet Library, with registration from 5.30pm.
This will take the form of a fireside chat between two distinguished speakers, who will be announced shortly. The lecture will be followed by a drinks and networking reception, kindly sponsored by Pinsent Masons.
