We are delighted to welcome Dame Susanna McGibbon DCB KC (Hon) to the JUSTICE Council.

Dame Susanna has had a distinguished career in public service. In 1993, after practising at the Bar, she joined the Government Legal Profession and went on to hold a number of senior legal roles across government. Most recently, she served as HM Procurator General, Treasury Solicitor and Permanent Secretary of the Government Legal Department. In this role, she served at the highest levels of the Government Legal Profession, leading the government’s principal legal organisation.

In 2026, she was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the Bath in recognition of her public service.

We warmly welcome her to the Council and look forward to the insight and expertise she will bring to JUSTICE’s work.
