Event Details

We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of our new report on the use of AI in our policing and the criminal justice system.

The report responds to the increasing interest in the role AI technologies may play in policing, to build new capabilities to keep the public safe and to deliver much needed efficiencies. Learning from international examples of AI in policing, and considering the state of play here in England and Wales, we propose a way forward which hardwires standards, evaluation, public participation, and legal clarity. Our vision of AI-enhanced policing is one which maximises opportunities, consolidates resources, and delivers outcomes, while ensuring value for money, trustworthiness, human rights and the rule of law.

Our panellists include:

Jeni Tennison — Founder & Executive Director, Connected by Data

Dylan Alldridge — Head of AI Innovation, National Police Chiefs’ Council

Dr Mackenzie Jorgensen — PROBabLE Futures Research Fellow, Northumbria University
