Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Bill

The bill received Royal Assent on 21 July 2009 and became the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009.

The bill included measures on citizenship and child protection from the earlier Draft Immigration and Citizenship Bill. See the bill’s passage through Parliament.
