‘Doing justice’

From legal aid cuts to increased court fees, from court closures to secret evidence, the reforms of the last Westminster Parliament have taken a toll on the shape of justice in the UK today. At Holyrood, we also have seen major changes to the Scots court system, criminal and civil.

At a time when both Parliaments face some serious constitutional questions – from Brexit to the repeal of the Human Rights Act – we ask, where next for the rule of law?
