We are delighted to invite you to our JUSTICE members-only webinar series titled ‘Careers Conversations’. Over the course of the couple of weeks you will have the opportunity to hear from a range of excellent speakers from the JUSTICE membership sharing their various paths into the law with us.

On Tuesday 2 June 2020 we welcome Paul Yates as our speaker.

Paul Yates is head of pro bono at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Paul is also a member of the firm’s Global Business and Human Rights group, with a particular focus on advising businesses on their approach to the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015. For many years Paul appeared as an advocate at the asylum support tribunal, assisting asylum seekers in accessing their limited legal rights to food and shelter. He acts for victims of human trafficking bringing and enforcing civil claims, and is closely involved in developing the firm’s third-party intervention practice.

Paul is a member of the steering group of the Administrative Justice Council, and chairs its pro bono panel. He is a member of the Access to Justice Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales.
