JUSTICE Student Human Rights Network invites you to hear two of the country’s most influential criminal lawyers in conversation – as Keir Starmer QC, the Director of Public Prosecutions explores his career and the challenges of public office with Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, Chair of JUSTICE Council.

You too will have a chance to put your questions on life in the law, human rights and the criminal justice system to the DPP – provided, of course, they are not sub judice!

Keir Starmer QC has been the Director of Public Prosecutions since 2008. Prosecution decisions on controversial issues regularly place him in the media spotlight. In private practice, he was recognised one of the country’s leading human rights lawyers.

Baroness Helena Kennedy QC is an eminent criminal defence lawyer, a high-profile member of the House of Lords and a leading commentator on legal issues.

The event is free, but reservation is essential.

JUSTICE is very grateful to DLA Piper for hosting this event
