The JUSTICE Student Network (JSN) is an interactive forum that aims to encourage interest in and improve awareness of issues affecting the UK justice system. It promotes debate on topical UK justice issues and runs a programme of events, intending to enhance the career-paths of its members by providing the means for networking with JUSTICE’s eminent legal membership. The JSN is also dedicated to delivering valuable and unique educational resources for law students to complement their education and widen their understanding of UK justice issues.
Our website offers access to invaluable resources for anyone interested in the protection of a fair and just UK legal system. On it, you will find recordings of JSN events, webinars with the JUSTICE policy team, career interviews with leading figures in the legal community, summarised case notes and briefings on topical justice issues. Our resources aim to equip students with a practical understanding of how lawyers can work to strengthen the justice system and the rights of the individuals within it.
Our informative events provide fantastic networking opportunities and the chance to discuss some of the most pressing legal issues of our time. Many of our JSN events are free, making them easily accessible for students.
We have an established internship programme, taking place in the summer and winter each year. Through this we appoint two or three interns to work closely with policy staff and undertake legal research in one of JUSTICE’s main areas of work – human rights, criminal justice or EU and home affairs. We are proud to pay our interns the London Living Wage.
