The killing of George Floyd has triggered an outpouring of grief and anger for Black communities. For hundreds of years, the Black community has endured personal, institutional and systemic racism in this country as in many others. In their pain and peaceful protest, we stand with Black and ethnic minority communities. JUSTICE’s mission is to ensure that the justice system is accessible to all and treats everyone fairly. Much of our recent and current work highlights how it disproportionately fails Black and ethnic minority people. We know we must do more and will redouble our efforts towards a justice system that treats everyone equally, with dignity and respect.
